I paid $2700 last spring for a 1997 with 260 miles on it. Private sale. The dealer was asking 3500 for a 1995 with 15,000 miles on it. The dealer had the color I wanted, black. My SO said I could learn to like red. I said I could use the extra money and paint the bike the color I wanted. Thinking I would just paint it black. That's what started this customizing I did. Look on the forum for what I did with the extra money. Just a little more than a paint job. If I had the black I wouldn't have gone all out like I did. Just got carried away I guess.
